And I hope you are too. Here’s an image from the end of my fall garden. If you want other people to know about this newsletter, please:
Today, I am across the state Doing Good Works and taking a day off from posting. But this may also be an appropriate time to announce that I am cutting back to two days a week. I will write a Tuesday post for all subscribers and a Friday post for paid subscribers.
Why? I have a new book contract and need to redirect some of my writing time to the work needed to complete a major project in the next two years. I will have travel, new reading, and hours of quiet time spent writing that will fill the next several years. But keep your eyes peeled for a new interview-style podcast that will drop on this platform in the coming weeks!
Some of you may be disappointed; some may be relieved—I know that sometimes getting so many newsletters can be overwhelming, and I delete them all once in a while. But sometimes, I will throw in an extra, spontaneous missive, a list of resources to help you think about breaking news or an archival find that I can’t keep to myself.
Dear Claire,
Thank you. You've been my insight into political life in the US for a while, and you're right, I wish I could read all of your previous articles, but life places its demands. Receiving that one email a week will be a treat, and joyously, thoroughly read. Enjoy your rest and work on your book. Looking forward to the following,

What Peter Gordon wrote goes for me too. And I'll be interested in what you're working on when you're ready to share.
